Torn Curtain / by Kyle Vernier

Paul Newman and Julie Andrews star in this late career Hitchcock movie. Hitchcock mats a lot of shots that don't seem to need it, uses fairly poor sets for a couple of scenes, and oddly employs freeze frames during the climax. I think this movie was meant to be a light, comedic affair. The suspense is light, the acting is light, and even East Germany doesn't look all that bad.
